End of Season 07/08

How did we fare? Good, Bad or just not good enough?

83 points - highest ever total for a 3rd place team
3 losses - Less than manure and only twice in last 40 years have we had fewer defeats in a season (1991 & 2004)
11 draws - this cost us the title.
0 lost at home - superb performance to build on for next season.
31 goals allowed - not good compared to the other big 3. We need to get our focus together on this.
43 on goal differences - firing from a lot of angles. only second to manure.

Not too bad overall compared to last season and the loss of Henry. We were better than ourselves last season BUT manure and Chelski really bought theirselves up one level.Chelski kept their core together and added a few more useful player to have a healthy 2nd cover for each position. Manure exercise their financial power and bought Tevez, Nani and Anderson which rejuvenated the aging legs of Giggs and Scoles.

Well, together with injuries and lack of a quality 2nd stringers, we lost steam at the very last hurdles (last 2 months). So we really need to beef up the squad in anticipation of injuries and suspension.

Look forward to next year.....Go Gunners!!
