I have been back in sunny Singapore since 1st march. Well, not so sunny the past few days because of the rain.... but at least not dry and cold and killing my skin.
Arsenal had a turbulent week too. Drawing with Villa but finally realising their potential in Milan by beating the reigning champs in the away tie of the Champion league. A healthy 2-0 victory that sent all gunner fans into fits of happiness all around the world.... A really welcome relief after the horrible results in the past 2 weeks...
I guess I have tasted all my favourite food in this week like chicken rice, bak ku teh, curry chicken, barbecue sting ray and sotong and a little bit of ba cho mee and bi dan zhou... hahaha..
that goes the diet out of the window....
My old buddy, Mr Alvin Low Mun Seng is getting married this Sunday. I will be able to help him 'fetch' the bride.. but unfortunately, will miss his wedding dinner on Monday because of this stupid flying around again.... What sort of buddy miss his good buddy's wedding? Maybe not a buddy.............God knows how much sacrifice I have made for this job... is it worth it? I dont think so at the moment... well....
Well, a few more happy days... and then off i fly again on Sunday night... back to cold and colder germany....
p.s: fishing this saturday.. hopefully, i will catch some real deals....
p.s.s: Dinner still not confirmed for Friday. Is it so difficult to get busy Singaporeans together? hahaa...

What i survive on in Germany...
there are many good and delicious food in Germany.......
but they are not very good for my growing waistline and after some time, you do miss your mee rebus, chicken rice, roti prata, chinese dishes, nasi pandan etc etc...
So luckily for me, I have a good friend in Mr Phoon (or Pan). Well, Phoon Gor (Bro Phoon) runs a Chinese restaurant in the Tuas of Germany (Weingarten). Speaking fluent Chinese, Cantonese, Vietnamese and Germany, this Viet-chinese have grown his roots deep into Germany from the past 30 years.
Anyway, we were lucky to chat him up and being friendly and hospitable, we are now like good friends. He provide us with good food at a reasonable price while we provide him with Ba Gua, conversations in Cantonese and Chinese and Chinese videos. And of course, long term support for his restaurant.
This is the last Chinese meal I had for this trip before my flight back to Singapore tomorrow. The simple but difficult to fry: YANG ZHOU CHAO FAN

Delicious in a foreign country...... and a nice pot of chinese tea to go with it.
Simple pleasures in life.....

First Ski trip

On a bright note, I successfully Skiied on Sunday! Yeah, my third attempt to try after failing to go the previous 2 times. (weather and work)
Its freaking tough to move around in those ski. Its damn fun when you are going down but it kills you when you are going down. I had no proper clothes as it is a last min thing (as work is excused for once) so every time I fall, it gets heavier and heavier as my Jeans get heavier with the water......
I joined a class and we were 10. Unfortunately, I was the worse. hahahaha.... dont know why as I am normally good at this type of shit..... well, an American guy gave up after 1 hour. I rested and preserved after my numerous fall..... Still i sucked at it....
The lesson started at 10 am and went on and on without break and water... hahahaa.... talked about Ski holiday... feels like camp... anyone i got 1 day off while the rest of my 'classmates' got one week holiday. So envious....
After lunch break and another few falls in 1 hour, I threw in the towel. The injured ankle could take no more. By this time, an English lady also gave up so we both went for a nice cold beer. You cannot imagine on top of a mountain at 2000 feet, the temperature could have been 16.5 deg celius. I was all soaked with sweat in the end and had to remove my scarf, gloves and jacket. And I have gotten a sun burn in the snow!! hahahaa....
Crazy weather indeed....
Anyway, that is my ski experience. Lost the first battle, but I think I am gamed for more!
hahaha.....
Eduardo breaks leg..... Taylor in jail

Cold and Bored
Once again, I am stuck in Germany.
This time in Lindau.
I am working in Weingarten. Hence, every morning, i will be Driver Rick and fetch all my colleagues to Weingarten. 50 mins one way, 100 mins a day, 50 km one way, 100+ kms in a day.
Tired and unfamiliar, I even drove on the first day of my arrival to Germany. With no sleeep at all. Super planning and documentation. Documentation? yes, documentation?
DOCUMENTS!!!..........
Anyway, life is not a beach now, more like a bitch. After 6 months from Go Live, we still have a weird system that needs to be taken care of like an unwanted baby. Dont get me wrong, I love babies. In fact, I love this baby but it is cute: Ugly and adorable. Many people failed to see the cuteness of this baby to start playing with her. I refer it as her because she is temperamental.
Well, a lesson in life to learn. Dig below the surface; not all things are as it seems.
Mood: Gloomy like the weather here.

Preview of FA Cup
Tomorrow, we will face Manure at Old Toilet in the FA Cup.
Troubled by an injury crisis, our squad is stretched to the limit. RVP is still out, so we will be depending on red hot striker, Adebayor to put a goal or two behind Van der Sar. Walcott and Rosicky are also out so we need Hleb, Clichy and maybe Eboue to put the crosses in. Flamini the destroyer is there and Fabregas should be fit to spread the play.
I think we can still manage to put out a decent team out there and record a win against the manures....
Go Gunners!!!
