The first team

Freddie is staying at the club till the end of his career but Wenger is on his 2nd holiday and does not seem to be interested in signing any new players.

Wonder what he is thinking about.

Although we got:
1) Adebayor, Bendtner, Walcott and RVP as strikers
2) Freddie, Hleb, Rosicky, Fab, Gilberto, Diaby, Denilson, Flamini (still) as midfielders
3) Toure, Gallas, Eboue, Traore, Glichy, Senderos, Hoyte, Djourou as defenders

I think we still need to get a Center Back, Center MF and CENTER Forward. We need to kill off the chances we had last season. There was nobody eating up the chances that were created.

Go Gunners!!

Thierry Henry - EX captain sensational...

Dear Friends,

I do not know where to start and how to start. It seems like a part of the history and foundation of our club is being destroyed. Come next season, there will be no fiery finisher or sensational captain for our club. Life without Henry begins….

At the end of last season, there were wild speculations and crazy transfer rumors that were thrashed out by Henry without any hesitation. His signing of a long term contract that will seen out his career as a footballer reconfirmed his God like status among us fans. His unwavering commitment and trust in Wenger led him to that decision. Unfortunately, that same commitment and trust also led to his agreement to move when his mentor express his concern about the state of affairs and directions of our club.

While there was still David (Dein) around to reassure and persuade Henry to stay last season, this time round, the (obnoxious and nincompoop) board “made sure’ there is no fatherly figure to let Henry hesitate. How and Why in the world would some people reject money and players to boost our club chances in all competition is beyond me. Similarly, equally confusing is the fact that we are letting someone that would guarantee us 30 goals a season go for a bargain price of 20 million Euros. NOBODY, absolutely NOBODY, would be able to do that season in and season out in the EPL!

With Wenger refusing to commit his long term future, I fear that more departures will be realized. With Henry gone, Wenger seems to be our only trump card. He can only built if he is given the money. If frustrated further, he will contemplate to leave. How will our young team be able to cope with the lost of two inspirational character? It might lead to a spiraling and vicious cycle that will drag us down the EPL and (God Forbids) the Championship.

Like a building without its pillar, will the supporting cast step up or cast out? Fabregas has already expressed a desire to prove himself in Spain again when the opportunity appears. Who will Van Persie and Adebayor learn from? Who will run on to the passes and crosses of Rosicky and Hleb?

I don’t know and I don’t wish to think further as my heart seeks to recover from this heartbreaking news. Life without Henry is unthinkable and spells the beginning of a very tough time ahead.
