but they are not very good for my growing waistline and after some time, you do miss your mee rebus, chicken rice, roti prata, chinese dishes, nasi pandan etc etc...
So luckily for me, I have a good friend in Mr Phoon (or Pan). Well, Phoon Gor (Bro Phoon) runs a Chinese restaurant in the Tuas of Germany (Weingarten). Speaking fluent Chinese, Cantonese, Vietnamese and Germany, this Viet-chinese have grown his roots deep into Germany from the past 30 years.
Anyway, we were lucky to chat him up and being friendly and hospitable, we are now like good friends. He provide us with good food at a reasonable price while we provide him with Ba Gua, conversations in Cantonese and Chinese and Chinese videos. And of course, long term support for his restaurant.
This is the last Chinese meal I had for this trip before my flight back to Singapore tomorrow. The simple but difficult to fry: YANG ZHOU CHAO FAN
Delicious in a foreign country...... and a nice pot of chinese tea to go with it.
Simple pleasures in life.....
